A Shining Example of regional independence in Security Printing
We are delighted to announce a significant milestone for DG press as we secure the sale of three identical DG-Vision machines to our esteemed customer, Alliance Printers Limited, in Tanzania who are on course to establish a new printing facility in Dar es Salaam, the capital city of Tanzania. The new printing facility will be equipped with cutting-edge pre-press and processing equipment, boosting Tanzania’s security printing capacity.
Alliance Printers Ltd. initially approached DG press with a specific requirement: producing high-level security printed documents. After a thorough assessment of their unique needs and extensive visits to our manufacturing facility in the Netherlands to witness firsthand DG press’ expertise, Alliance Printers Ltd. made the strategic decision to invest in three DG-Vision machines. The installation of the first press is already underway, with the second press under construction, and the third expected to be operational during the first half of 2024.
The DG-Vision is a highly regarded dedicated security printing machine, renowned by state-owned printers for its versatility in providing security solutions. It is gaining popularity across the African continent for its excellence in producing secure documents. The DG-Vision stands as a modular hybrid web offset press with near-limitless in-line options, making it an ideal choice for such critical applications.
All three DG-Vision machines acquired by Alliance will be exclusively dedicated to printing specific security documents while retaining the flexibility to handle various other security printing needs as they arise, thanks to the DG-Vision’s modular design. These machines are equipped with six offset printing units, with UV curing, and incorporate two inkjet heads for numbering at the end of the production line.
This significant order from Tanzania reflects a growing trend across multiple African nations, where they are redefining their printing processes, and taking charge of their own production. In fact, inspired by the pioneering steps taken by Alliance Printers Ltd., two other African countries are also following suit. This shift underscores the growing desire among African nations to seek greater control over their own security printing processes and ensure that these crucial documents are produced locally with the utmost precision.
DG press is thrilled to be a part of this growing trend and is honoured to be chosen as the trusted partner, celebrated for our technical expertise and cutting-edge technology. In less than a year, Alliance Printers Ltd.’s DG-Vision machines will be bringing a new era of self-reliance in security printing. DG-Vision proves once again to be a proven technology for several security printing applications; tax stamps, authentication labels, ballot papers, visas, tickets, passports and more.
