It is considered the most important industrial exhibition in Central and Eastern Europe: the MSV International Engineering Fair in Brno, Czech Republic. From 10 to 13 October 2023, Arburg will be there in Hall G1, Stand 28, with its usual innovative and future-oriented presentation. An Allrounder 470 H produces live products “to grab”: 0.5-litre beer mugs made of PC. Sophisticated automation will be demonstrated by a Kuka six-axis robot that the turnkey experts from Arburg Czech Republic have programmed to assemble a model Allrounder fully automatically.
For Dr Daniel Orel, Managing Director of Arburg spol. s r.o., this year’s MSV is trend-setting and more important than ever: “Our country is very much shaped by electromobility. A certain uncertainty and reluctance to invest can already be felt here. Overall, the market is nevertheless developing positively.” In this context, he emphasises the perfect services and reliable technology of Arburg and its partner companies.
Top topics: Energy, recycling and alternative materials
According to the Arburg Managing Director, the main topics at MSV 2023 will be energy consumption, recycling and the processing of recyclates or alternative materials. Trade visitors will be able to see two exhibits on the Arburg stand that have a lot going for them. A hybrid Allrounder 470 H “Premium” with 800 kN clamping force will produce live beer mugs from PC in a cycle time of 36.5 seconds. With this anniversary machine, Arburg is launching a new generation of machines this year that is particularly energy-saving, resource-saving, production-efficient, user-friendly and reliable, as well as significantly reducing acquisition and operating costs. For handling, the exhibit is equipped with a Multilift Select linear robotic system.
Comprehensive turnkey offer
The second exhibit shows how even very complex automation tasks can be mastered: a Kuka six-axis robot is programmed to independently assemble a model of an Allrounder injection moulding machine from toy building blocks and then disassemble it again.
With this application, the Arburg Czech Republic team demonstrates its comprehensive expertise in the turnkey sector. The subsidiary is an important hub for turnkey solutions and project management in the European Arburg network. At the Arburg Technology Factory (ATF) in Brno, customised turnkey plants are designed, built, assembled and commissioned, among other things.
The well-known and reliable “all-round carefree package” for all customers continues to include application technology cooperation and support with regard to energy and production efficiency, as well as a wide range of training courses. These show numerous concrete possibilities for optimising energy consumption in the entire production process and thus significantly reducing costs in injection moulding production. Dr Daniel Orel also sees Arburg in a very good position in the areas of service and consulting. For example, Arburg launched the “Action Plan: Energy” in March 2023. This is based on individual energy consultations including energy measurements at the customer’s site. His hope is that MSV 2023 will return to the pre-Corona days in terms of visitor and exhibitor numbers.
