High user benefit thanks to digital engineering – Robert Bürkle GmbH at LIGNA 23

Wednesday 31. May 2023 - At LIGNA, BÜRKLE underlines its high level of engineering expertise and the associated future-oriented machine and plant solutions. New promising digitalisation solutions and innovative solutions from the portfolio will be in focus. Another focus is on the area of spray painting.

“A high level of engineering competence is deeply anchored in the DNA of our group of companies. We use it to realise future-oriented machine and plant solutions for our market partners. These increase efficiency and at the same time ensure significantly improved sustainability. At the upcoming LIGNA, we will be highlighting this in exemplary fashion using innovative solutions from our portfolio and new, promising digitalisation solutions. They significantly improve our engineering process and the project throughput,” says Bürkle Managing Director Olaf Rohrbeck in his outlook on the world’s leading trade fair in Hannover.
One of the focal points is the field of spray painting. Bürkle will present a fully automatic ROBUSpro spray-painting line in combination with a robot handling system. A new air conditioning system is designed to be particularly energy-saving and additionally ensures less overspray. In the entry-level model ROBUSeco, functional improvements, such as in the HMI operation and additional options for colour and material change, ensure higher machine availability.
LIGNA could not take place in 2021 because of the pandemic. “It will be a real reboot this year, in my opinion. At the same time, it is also a benchmark for the future status of LIGNA as a leading global trade fair.
Partly, however, certainly under different auspices than in previous years. We are taking this trend into account with a strong presentation of our digital expertise.” In this context, Rohrbeck announces interesting new developments that Bürkle will present to a broad audience for the first time at LIGNA. In detail, this concerns the use of industrial edge computing, the possibilities of OPC-UA connections and also the further development of virtual commissioning / digital twin. Together with technology partner Siemens, Bürkle has set up cornerstones of a solid and future-oriented digital roadmap.
“We are looking forward to the trade fair days in Hanover very confidently and expect a well-filled stand. After four years, we are looking forward to welcoming many national and international customers and partners from industry and trade again,” Matthias Picker, Division Manager Woodworking, is convinced.
