CEO staff handover from Michel Hunkeler to Daniel Erni as of 1 January 2023

Thursday 22. December 2022 - Daniel Erni has been with Hunkeler since 2016. As Chief Sales Officer and member of the Executive Board, he has contributed a great deal to the Hunkeler Groups ability to increase sales, earnings and market share in recent years.

Michel Hunkeler, CEO of Hunkeler AG, will hand over his position as CEO to Daniel Erni, global sales manager and member of the executive board of Hunkeler AG Paper Processing, as of 1 January 2023. As Delegate of the Board of Directors, Michel Hunkeler will continue to accompany the Hunkeler Group and its strategic orientation and maintain close contact with the Executive Board.
Daniel Erni has been with Hunkeler since 2016. As Chief Sales Officer and member of the Executive Board, he has contributed a great deal to the Hunkeler Group’s ability to increase sales, earnings and market share in recent years. Thanks to his good cooperation with Stefan and Michel Hunkeler as well as with the management, employees, customers and partners, this success was possible. Before Daniel Erni joined Hunkeler AG, he had already been managing director and sales manager in other companies.
Daniel Erni will continue to report directly to Michel Hunkeler, who will have more time for strategic topics as well as for the support of various stakeholders around the Hunkeler Group.
Stefan Hunkeler, Chairman of the Board of Directors, will continue his duties unchanged. The existing and proven management team will remain in place.
The shareholders and the Hunkeler family are looking forward to this reorganisation and are convinced that they have found an ideal solution. The Hunkeler corporate and family values will thus be excellently taken into account in order to further develop the company in the best possible way in the long term.
