InkTec expands European operations with dedicated fulfilment hub in the Netherlands

Wednesday 28. September 2022 - Offering a geographic opportunity for access across the European continent, the hub operates with detailed secure, inventory management and efficient warehouse management. It is also a BREEAM sustainable warehouse.

In response to growing European ink and media sales, alongside a rising number of JETRIX installations across the continent, InkTec has invested in expanding its European operation.
Working in partnership with the Busan Port Authority (BPA) who work closely with South Korean company Samsung too; a dedicated fulfilment operation has been built and managed. This sustainable logistics warehouse occupies 30,000 square metres on the Maasvlakte West Distribution Park in the Port of Rotterdam. The objective of the whole operation is to strengthen the competitiveness of South Korean based companies in securing and expanding their logistics network into Europe.
Offering a geographic opportunity for access across the European continent, the hub operates with detailed secure, inventory management and efficient warehouse management. It is also a BREEAM sustainable warehouse. This means it has been evaluated to ensure the building has been constructed as sustainably as possible and reduces its impact on the environment. Equally moving forwards under the accreditation, it is evaluated on its energy, transportation, waste, water resources, land use and ecological pollution.
As a result of the relationship with the BPA, InkTec now rapidly bulk distribute their solvent, aqueous and sublimation inks across Europe. All of which are compatible with many of the leading large format printer brands. As a result, they can offer fast delivery options and no duties or taxes within the European distribution zones.
Joey Kim, Managing Director of InkTec said of their expanding operations:
“Our need to actively expand our European operation and have a base located on the mainland was increasingly imperative. We were keen to work with the BPA to create a seamless operation for our customers, while also giving them a more cost-effective access to our extensive inks and media ranges.”
This was further reinforced by Jinsun Shin, General Manager of Busan Port Authority B.V:
“The Netherlands site has been a central part of BPA’s strategy to establish connectivity with securing logistics platforms in the main gateway ports in the world. The objective of which has been to provide customised logistics service including product storage, picking, packing, inspection and inventory management. Working with InkTec has meant we have been able to give all of this and more enabling them to broaden their offering across Europe.”
