Strong unit: technotrans completes merger and renaming of its companies

Tuesday 10. May 2022 - It is an important milestone in the implementation of the group strategy Future Ready 2025: the one-brand strategy has been successfully implemented. All technotrans SE companies, with the exception of gds GmbH now trade under the umbrella brand technotrans.

The technology group has also completed the merger of the companies technotrans SE and KLH Kältetechnik GmbH, as well as technotrans solutions GmbH and Reisner Cooling Solutions GmbH. termotek GmbH will henceforth trade as technotrans systems GmbH. The current product and technology portfolio will be retained and systematically expanded in future. The full organisational integration of the individual companies into the group will be completed before the end of the first half of 2022. These measures will strengthen the group’s position as an innovation leader in thermal management. It is bundling its competences in order to act even more efficiently, flexibly and effectively in its focus markets.
“With the transition from a group of several affiliated companies to a strong brand, we are taking one of the most important steps in the history of technotrans. The central management of the functional areas enables us to exploit group-wide synergy effects for our customers,” says Michael Finger, Spokesman of the Board of Management of technotrans SE. Through the transformation process, the group is pooling its market and industry expertise as well as its application know-how in the area of thermal management, which is unique in its sectors. With its uniform appearance as a strong and sustainable brand, technotrans aims to make its presence felt even more strongly both nationally and internationally.
The locations will henceforth operate under the technotrans umbrella brand as follows: Sassenberg and Bad Doberan (formerly KLH Kältetechnik GmbH) form technotrans SE. The locations Meinerzhagen (formerly gwk Gesellschaft Wärme Kältetechnik mbH) and Holzwickede (formerly Reisner Cooling Solutions GmbH) have merged to form technotrans solutions GmbH. The Baden-Baden location (formerly termotek GmbH) now trades as technotrans systems GmbH. The group thus offers a product portfolio of highly efficient cooling and temperature control systems of exemplary bandwidth in a temperature range from -80 to +400 degrees Celsius for various applications in its focus markets. The existing equipment and technology portfolio will be retained through the mergers and will be further expanded in the future. The closer cooperation will enable the new companies to offer their customers an even wider range of services.
Uniform image has a positive effect internally and externally
In the course of the mergers and name changes, the onboarding of the employees takes on a high priority. “It is important to us to create a new “we” feeling and to make the sense of belonging to a strong community tangible in our daily work,” emphasises Michael Finger. “Our employees not only have a significant share in the Group’s success, but also participate in the implementation of the mergers with commitment and motivation.” The complete organisational integration is an ongoing process, which is to be completed this year.

The creation of the technotrans umbrella brand has also met with approval from the outside world, says technotrans Board of Management member Peter Hirsch: “The feedback from the markets on the transformation process and the resulting benefits has been consistently positive. Our technology plays an essential role in our customers’ applications and is a basic prerequisite for numerous industrial processes. With the help of the new organisational structure, we are fulfilling this role operationally even more efficiently, more effectively and in a more targeted manner. Our customers are already benefiting from this today.”
The merger of the individual Group companies is one of the core measures within the Future Ready 2025 strategy, which will complete its first phase this year with a focus on the stability and profitability of the Group. In Phase 2 from 2023, which will focus on profitable growth and investment, technotrans intends among other things to exploit the group-wide synergy effects in order to concentrate even more on its key markets and actively drive forward new technologies.
