Laudert opens new offices in Guinea and Cambodia – First office in Africa

Monday 22. November 2021 - The Vreden-based media and IT service provider Laudert is opening two more locations. Both in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh and in Dalaba, a small town in Guinea, branch offices for media production are being established.

The company is thus building up the necessary capacities that have become necessary as a result of the strong growth, especially in the German studios.
Dalaba, Guinea
The location in Dalaba, Guinea, is Laudert’s first port of call on the African continent. Local media experts have already been on the job for several weeks to train and further educate additional professionals on site, so that the integration into productions can start before the end of November. An important advantage is the small time lag, which allows immediate processing of images from the German studios and communication between the two countries at almost identical business hours.
The new location in Dalaba will be set up and managed by Moustapha Baldé, who himself comes from Guinea and has been based in Münsterland near Vreden for many years. An important secondary task of the site is to strengthen the local infrastructure: a specially constructed well not only supplies the Laudert office with water, but also provides free access for the neighbourhood. Further well drilling projects for other parts of the city are already being planned.
Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Laudert has also recently been represented in the megacity of Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia. Here, the local specialists are mainly involved in image processing for the e-commerce sector. The time difference creates additional capacities that enable almost round-the-clock production. Phnom Penh is Laudert’s third contact point in Southeast Asia: a media production team was already established in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2012; in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, a programming team is also active in addition to another media production team. The location in Phnom Penh is managed by Tobias Enkel.
Jörg Rewer, managing partner, emphasises: “With the new locations, we are supporting our growth in Germany and at the same time securing our high-volume productions. Thanks to the different time zones, we are able to have capacities available both simultaneously and overnight for the processing of complex productions. The establishment of the site in Guinea is also a matter close to my heart, which not only ensures our success, but also fulfils our social responsibility. Here we can make a very active contribution to sustainable development on the ground.” With the strength of the Laudert family growing to around 650 employees by the end of the year, the company has recorded growth of around 30 per cent in just two years.
