Ricoh and aeoon Technologies announce global Direct to Garment print partnership

Friday 29. October 2021 - Ricoh has announced its global partnership with aeoon Technologies at this weeks Innovate.Founded in Austria, aeoon Technologies is a leading developer of fast and reliable Direct to Garment (DTG) digital print systems for the worldwide industrial textile market.

Agreement to help print innovators improve environmental sustainability and realise cost efficiencies
Ricoh, well established in inkjet technology and inkjet system integration in all segments of industrial printing, holds a leading position in the commercial DTG printing segment.
The strategic technology partnership will enable Ricoh to seamlessly extend its DTG offering into higher productivity market segments and further demonstrate its commitment to the textile market, focusing on improved sustainability and better cost efficiency. It will feature Ricoh’s inkjet printhead development expertise and knowledge. Colour management capability and print data generation will be provided by ColorGATE, which is based in Germany and owned by Ricoh.
As the DTG market continues to show a steep recovery in the post-Covid economy, the partnership will bring solutions to the market that actively support print service providers with modular growth strategies. The future portfolio will include systems that drive sustainable on-demand textile production and respond to the growth opportunities presented by decentralised fulfilment operations and centralised online businesses.
