Vileda relies on sustainable display concept from Thimm

Monday 30. August 2021 - Thimm produces modular displays made of recyclable corrugated cardboard for the cleaning products brand Vileda. The new displays consist of a few standardised basic modules. Vileda thus relies on long-lasting displays that can be flexibly combined.

Vileda produces floor mops, dishwashing sponges, microfibre cloths, sweeping sets and many other cleaning tools and has established itself as the world’s leading brand in mechanical cleaning. For over 70 years, the Vileda brand has stood for innovative products that set standards in household cleaning. Thimm developed a sustainable, efficient display concept for the successful brand of the Freudenberg Group:
The modular design of the displays is based on standard trays made of sustainable corrugated cardboard. These trays can be flexibly combined with a few standard parts to accommodate all the different Vileda products in the displays. The one-piece display sleeve is attached to the trays and the back wall using a simple plug-in system. The top sign is an integral part of the jacket and therefore does not need to be attached manually. Connectors and bar sets ensure a high load-bearing capacity of up to 20 kg per layer. By means of modular inserts and brackets, the displays can be changed and equipped according to trade requirements.
The corrugated board was produced with digitally printed paper in E and BE quality. The display sleeve shows a standardised print image, which is used for all assembly variants. In case of promotions, the digitally printed jacket can be individually changed and quickly exchanged.
Market tests were carried out before the new display concept was introduced. This enabled Vileda to determine comparative sales figures. Thimm has been delivering the 1/4 pallet displays since May. Due to the efficient construction, the displays can be easily refilled at the POS and the arrangement looks tidy at all times. The displays are currently presenting the variety of Vileda cleaning products in retail stores throughout Germany. All components of the display concept are made of corrugated cardboard, so that they can simply be returned to the waste paper cycle after a long service life.
