HP introduces HP Stitch S1000 for soft signage and interior design

Wednesday 12. May 2021 - HP Inc. introduces the HP Stitch S1000, the latest addition to its Stitch portfolio. The updated 126-inch printer offers high quality and smooth operation. It also enables print service providers (PSPs) to expand their soft signage and interior design offerings.

This makes it possible to meet even the most demanding customer requirements.

Simplified workflows and vibrant colours
The versatile HP Stitch S1000 enables printing directly onto fabric or transfer paper, simplifying workflow without compromising results. In addition, 1200 native dpi printheads and HP’s Drop & Dry systemiii ensure deep blacks, vivid colours and high resolution for the highest quality work.
A newly integrated contact heater offers improved backlit saturation performance for direct-to-fabric jobs. Colours appear brighter and more vibrant than ever before.
Work faster
The HP Stitch S1000 is designed to deliver fast production start-up timesiv and speeds of up to 220 m2/hr. Additionally, it offers the ability to double throughput on substrates up to 63 inches (1.6 m) with the dual roll accessory.
The Smart Nozzle Compensation System and Optical Media Advance Sensor Plus ensure reliable image quality at high speeds. With the addition of an integrated aerosol and vapour extraction system, meeting tight deadlines has never been easier.
User-replaceable printheads and HP preventive maintenance support help increase uptime. Wide-stretch rollers, 10-litre ink supplies and rolls of up to 300kg also allow for stand-alone printing, without constant checks.
Better control
Combined with the HP PrintOS app, print operations can be easily controlled anywhere, anytime, while allowing print service providers to make data-driven decisions. When working with a fleet, the HP Configuration Center ensures jobs are distributed efficiently for maximum productivity. The integrated spectrophotometer provides colour consistency across the fleet to achieve this.
Tests show that a single operator can easily load both transfer and textile rolls in 40 percent less time. This is made possible by features such as automatic media tension adjustment, a simple media path, automatic and optimised printhead cleaning and a device warm-up process that runs in parallel with loading.
Sustainability benefit
The updated HP Stitch S1000 uses ECO PASSPORT certified dye sublimation inks. This certification guarantees the safety of chemical products used in the textile and leather industries.ix In addition, the HP Planet Partners Initiativex offers free and convenient recycling of the printhead. In addition, the outer carton of an S1000 ink cartridge is made of cardboard and can be recycled locallyxi – part of HP’s goal to create a circular, low-emission economy.
