More than 80 talks, workshops and presentations – the perfect event for packaging specialists to keep up to date and network in the best way possible
The biggest technology event for packaging professionals starts in just a few weeks – and EskoWorld 2021 now presents its most exciting programme yet.
Between 17 and 21 May, hundreds of online attendees are expected at the annual technology event, which this time is all about digital transformation in the packaging industry.
“EskoWorld 2021 is all about bringing packaging experts together,” says Melissa Plemen, Esko Sr. Director of Inside Sales and Marketing. “Our programme offers a wealth of workshops, discussions and presentations that highlight how Esko solutions can digitise, automate and interconnect industry processes for maximum operational efficiency, minimising waste and increasing print quality as the industry drives its digital transformation.”
The full programme ranges from workshops on best practice recommendations in software, to roadmap presentations on new products and dedicated training, such as an in-depth masterclass training on colour standards with Esko Senior Colour Product Specialist Mark Samworth (18 May). The week-long event will also provide a space for round-table exchanges of ideas, such as the much-anticipated “What do they think?” panel discussion. (20 May), where four experts from the flexo industry will talk about current and future issues.
“There will be opportunities for one-on-one meetings with our experts on site, who will also be available throughout the virtual event for discussions on the most pressing issues and topics, such as how best to transform traditional processes towards digitalisation and automation,” says Melissa Plemen. “Roadmap talks, panel discussions and presentations highlighting the many ways digital transformation can be achieved are just a few of the many options attendees can take advantage of to get the most out of what this online event has to offer.”
Taking on the role of keynote speaker this year will be Shane Snow, award-winning journalist and best-selling author of “Smartcuts”, “The Storytelling Edge” and “Dream Teams”. With thoughtful and intelligent aspects, his keynote will debunk traditional myths of success and share unforgettable anecdotes of breakthrough innovations with the audience.
“We are delighted to have Shane Snow join us for our keynote,” says Melissa Pelmen. “His entertaining yet educational presentation is the perfect complement to our wide range of information offered at this year’s event.”
“As a virtual event, EskoWorld 2021 offers extreme flexibility, so attendees are free to choose how and when they want to take advantage of the programme’s offerings. They can register for as many talks as they like and view recordings of the webinars they were unable to attend in person. In addition, the recordings of the lectures can be accessed for up to one year after the event,” explains Melissa Plemen.
“And we are delighted that Brain4Tools of The Grey Elephant, experts in digital manual printing, is sponsoring the virtual EskoWorld for the second year running,” she adds. “Given their latest tools and world-class expertise in printing and packaging, we are proud to welcome Brain4Tools as our Platinum Sponsor once again.”
A total of 86 technical presentations will cover the company’s latest cloud technology solutions, as well as new hardware developments for flexo platemaking and the latest software developments for artwork, design and prepress. Presentations will take place daily between 8am and 5pm (Eastern Standard Time, EST).
