An investment in customer service with support from BOBST

Thursday 04. February 2021 - A combination of machines, tools and training from BOBST has helped corrugated packaging manufacturer, Ready Case, establish a solid customer-centric approach to service and delivery. Ready Case invested in a EXPERFOLD 165 in 2015 after recognising the need for a new folder-gluer that was better suited than its existing machine for longer runs, crash lock boxes, and the emerging e-commerce market.

Four years later, a positive customer/supplier experience ensured Ready Case turned to BOBST once again when the manufacturer was seeking a new die-cutter. This time the Ready Case team chose a VISIONCUT.
Gary Higgs, Manufacturing Operations Manager, said: “What has become clear over the past five years is that with BOBST, you are not just buying a machine. You have a team of experts on hand to ensure it can deliver exactly what you need it to do. Everything we have asked of BOBST, they have responded to and provided a solution for every question or challenge we have put their way. No job has ever been too big or small.
“When we were looking for a new die-cutter, we had such a positive experience with the EXPERTFOLD that we didn’t really look too far from BOBST. First time around, there had been a lengthy investigation into suppliers and what they could do for us but BOBST has proved their worth since day one.”
Gary pointed to the speed at which issues are resolved, helpfulness and attitude of BOBST engineers as key to their relationship. Ready Case has invested in BOBST training, along with service and maintenance packages.
“The training adds value to the operators and ensures we are getting the very best from our BOBST machines in a shorter timeframe,” added Gary. “Such packages are where BOBST excels and adds value for us. “Preventive maintenance is often underrated in the industry but for us, this and the training is what really enables Ready Case to deliver the difference to our customers. We have highly skilled operatives that can ensure we produce superb quality products, and we can control uptime and downtime which is absolutely critical for customer satisfaction.”
