Epson UltraChrome DG and reactive Genesta inks GOTS approved

Friday 04. September 2020 - Epson DG inks and pre-treatments approved by the Ecocert Group for use in a GOTS certified textile production process. Customers and brand manufacturers attach great importance to sustainable, environmentally friendly production and supply chains. Therefore, producers of textile materials are increasingly faced with the demand to prove the ecological compatibility of their production chains. Epson supports manufacturers in this goal.

For example, its UltraChrome DG inks and pre-treatments used in the SureColor SC-F3000 and SC-F2100 (both DTG printing) have been approved for use in a GOTS certified textile production process. The reactive Genesta inks developed for the industrial textile printers of the Monna-Lisa range also received this confirmation.
GOTS is the leading textile processing standard for organic fibres. The aim of the standard is to define conditions that prove the sustainability of the textile raw materials from the harvesting of the raw materials to their use. This offers the end customer security when choosing products, as the seal of the GOTS standard for fabrics and garments is accepted in all important markets.
Frank Schenk, Head of Commercial & Industrial Printing at Epson Deutschland GmbH, explains: “Sustainable management is in Epson’s DNA. In this respect, it is important for us to support our customers in establishing an ecologically compatible production chain. The confirmation that both our DG and reactive Genesta inks have been approved for use in a GOTS textile production process impressively underlines this”.
