ICE Europe 2021: Converting industry prepares for the coming 2021 season

Tuesday 07. April 2020 - From 9 to 11 March 2021, the international converting industry will meet at the Munich Exhibition Centre for the 12th edition of ICE Europe, the leading sales and marketing platform for conversion technology in modern manufacturing processes. A record number of 463 exhibitors from 25 countries attended the previous show in 2019 to present their latest technologies and solutions for converting and converting paper, film, foil, nonwovens and other flexible web materials to a wide range of trade visitors.

The stand allocation for 2021 is already in full swing. Companies wishing to launch their latest conversion solution on the market next year will find a wealth of information on the freshly designed trade fair website, as well as a simple online reservation system.
Flexible packaging, special films and nonwovens are increasingly in demand in almost all industrial sectors. From food and industrial packaging, filter materials, hygiene products and smart labels to high barrier films, optical films and high-tech materials: New products are constantly being developed, with specific performance characteristics for specific end applications.
At the same time, public interest in environmentally relevant topics and the demand for environmentally friendly products is increasing. Today, sustainability and efficiency are key success factors in modern manufacturing. The food and retail industries in particular are looking for new packaging solutions that are either fully recyclable or contain recycled materials. At the same time, the demand for creative and individually designable products is growing, as is the constant pressure to be able to react to new market trends and market requirements within the shortest possible time.
In view of constantly changing consumer needs, the conversion process is playing an increasingly central role. It is precisely here that new standards are being set for how consumer goods are packaged, marketed and ultimately used. At ICE Europe, exhibitors will showcase the full range of progressive conversion solutions, with innovative surface treatments or mechanical processes that extend or enhance the functionality or specific properties of products.
“Our exhibitors are determined to play an active role in this ongoing development process, with innovative converting machines and tailor-made solutions that can be configured to meet individual customer requirements,” explains Liljana Goszdziewski, Exhibition Director of ICE Europe. “To achieve this pioneering achievement, you need not only a good understanding of current production requirements and target markets, but above all suitable business partners who are willing to invest in new equipment and ideas. ICE Europe offers technology providers a central industry platform where they can meet interested buyers and users face-to-face and build successful partnerships – in an ideal environment that offers both sides more growth opportunities than ever before”.
Over the three days of the fair, exhibitors will have the opportunity to meet expert project managers, system integrators, engineers and buyers from the entire value chain of industrial product processing. A broad spectrum of industrial sectors and markets will be covered. Around 90% of ICE Europe visitors can directly influence purchasing decisions or make them themselves; one in three visitors come with specific investment plans.
“ICE Europe is renowned for its discerning trade audience and high success rate in creating profitable business opportunities. 98% of our exhibitors said they had achieved all or part of their last participation in the show. For the industry, ICE Europe is by far the most effective sales and marketing event in the upcoming 2021 event season and a perfect opportunity for those who want to network more closely with new and promising markets,” concludes Goszdziewski.
