Growth secured for Super Sign Mart

Tuesday 18. February 2020 - The commissioning of a swissQprint flatbed printer in August 2019 marked a turning point for Super Sign Mart from Louisiana. In December 2019 the swissQprint roll printer, Karibu, was added. The first ever in North America. The investments secure the growth of the family business.

“We have been looking for a reliable, user-friendly and economical solution for a long time”, says Super Sign Mart Managing Director Todd Davis, “and we have had it since August 2019”. Within twelve years, Super Sign Mart in Louisiana had over ten different large format printers in operation. “But we’ve never really been happy,” says Todd. That changed with the installation of the Impala 3 flatbed printer, he says, and business results quickly improved significantly. “Nothing can compare with the reliability of the printer and the simplicity of working with swissQprint,” he emphasizes. Against this background, the decision to invest in a new swissQprint roll printer was easy for him.
Reliability and low operating costs
In December 2019 Karibu started working at Super Sign Mart. It is the first Karibu that swissQprint has delivered to North America since the web printer was launched at Printing United in Dallas in October 2019. Super Sign Mart has replaced its latex printers with the two swissQprint UV printers. “At last we have reliable color consistency, no more unscheduled service calls and noticeably lower operating costs,” Todd summarizes the improvements, “especially since we no longer have to constantly invest in new print heads.
Increased efficiency in web printing
Super Sign Mart operates as a digital printer in the B2B market and supplies various graphic service providers. Todd notes that print runs are getting smaller, job diversity is increasing and customers are demanding ever shorter delivery times. Particularly as the swissQprint large format printers can be relied upon, Super Sign Mart is confident in meeting these new requirements. For Todd, a prime example of the increased efficiency is the mesh kit integrated into the caribou printing table. “Changing from a banner job to a mesh job is done in no time and without conversion,” says Todd, “a clean and efficient solution. Grady Davis, Operations Manager at Super Sign Mart, summarizes: “Karibu paves the way for future growth because, thanks to swissQprint, we are a reliable partner for our customers”. A win-win situation for all parties involved.
