Four Pees strengthens its integration division through an alliance with Pragmeta

Monday 20. January 2020 - Four Pees, an international distributor of software products for the printing and publishing industry, is joining forces with Pragmeta, a developer and integrator of solutions for the printing industry. This collaboration will further position Four Pees as a specialized full-service provider of productivity solutions for the printing industry.

Four Pees has been active as an international distributor in the printing industry for 13 years. Its product portfolio includes a full range of software products, from Web-To-Print, PDF processing, colour management, amalgamation, to RIPs. Four Pees distributes these products worldwide mainly through resellers, consultants and integrators. Tom Peire, CEO of Four Pees: “The graphics industry has undergone profound changes in recent years. The advent of more and more online players, consolidation and international competition in the market are increasing the need for companies in our industry to automate and computerize faster in order to maintain their margins. At the same time, these companies face a growing challenge to attract the right people to implement these processes and systems. On the vendor side, there is therefore a need for specialized companies, such as Four Pees, who can help customers by focusing on software. Through this cooperation, we are strengthening our position to meet this need.”
In addition to the sale of software products, Four Pees has for several years been offering its customers integration services as a total solution so that they can better streamline their production. These services are offered both directly to end customers and in collaboration with existing resellers and partners.
Peter Claes, Managing Director of Pragmeta, has been helping to optimise and automate printing plants from order taking, upstream file control to downstream processing for more than 10 years. Pragmeta distributes and integrates products such as Enfocus Switch and PitStop, callas pdfToolbox and InSoft Imp. In addition, Pragmeta has developed its own file reception platform, Metaboard, which simplifies the work of customer managers by seamlessly linking the administration and production of order processing. This allows a clear overview of where the order and these files are located in production at any time.
Peter joins the Four Pees team, which now consists of 10 people, as a solution architect. Thanks to this cooperation, Pragmeta’s customers can now also rely on the expertise and bandwidth of Four Pees. By adding Enfocus Switch and Metaboard to its portfolio, Four Pees will in turn be able to offer its customers even smarter and more advanced automation solutions.
In addition, the two companies are joining forces to further develop Metaboard. Today, Metaboard is mainly integrated as a portal in addition to existing MIS, Web-to-Print and production automation systems for efficient file control and correction. In this way, customers succeed in minimizing the many manual actions involved in the process and in deploying their employees to tasks where they can add real value.
“For Pragmeta, this cooperation is a logical step,” says Peter Claes, Managing Director of Pragmeta. “Pragmeta has been working closely with Four Pees for some time. We share the vision of a pragmatic and project-based approach to integration processes. We are therefore convinced that this collaboration will benefit all our customers and that together we can contribute to their success.”
