Lithec LithoFlash to be featured at PRINT 19

Tuesday 24. September 2019 - Lithec, a global leader of inline color control and inspection systems for the graphic communications industry, will feature Lithec LithoFlash with new G7 qualification at PRINT 19 on October 3-5, 2019 in Chicago, IL.

“Color is one of the most emotional attributes of a brand,” states John Sweeney, VP of Sales, Lithec USA. “Inconsistency with colors associated with a brand subconsciously diminishes it, and erodes brand loyalty. Our inline color control and inspection systems are installed in more than 1,500 printing plants around the world. Having the G7 qualification on the LithoFlash system enables commercial printers, packaging printers and converters to produce consistent color, run to run, every time.”
Lithec eliminates the need to manually measure color bars at the press console by reading the color bar and making ink key adjustments as the sheet leaves the last printing unit, running live. The Lithec LithoFlash inline color control and inspection systems are installed new or retrofitted on Heidelberg, KBA, Komori, manroland, and RMGT offset presses. Benefits reported by printers are reduced make-ready time, reducing expenses by lowering wasted substrate, and maintaining production quality throughout the press run.
“The G7 methodology is based on maintaining gray balance,” continues Sweeney. “Since Lithec LithoFlash reads ink density on the fly, our G7 qualification enables commercial printers, packaging printers and converters to meet G7 certification for color accuracy and consistency.” G7 is Idealliance’s global industry-leading set of specifications for achieving near-neutral visual similarity across all print processes currently being revised into ISO 12647-2.
