New Features for AccurioPro Flux: More Flexibility and Speed in Prepress

Konica Minolta has released major updates to its AccurioPro Flux workflow software. With the new features, customers will be able to edit documents faster and prepare them for printing more flexibly. AccurioPro Flux Essential features a redesigned import and imposition concept. Users of the Premium and Ultimate editions can also edit documents directly in the browser.
Through automation, AccurioPro Flux helps printers save time on recurring prepress work. This has been particularly beneficial when working with pre-configured print products, such as brochures and business cards. The upgrades now also speed up the setting up of non-standard print jobs. They create a flexible workflow that allows such jobs to be imposed and printed just as quickly.
The new import now offers many functions from the outset that could previously only be used after the import. Additional functions simplify imposition by rows and columns, and the associated optimization function makes it easier to arrange pages on the sheet. New paper formats can be created just as quickly. A precise preview and a preflight function make it possible to check the print data.
Flexibility via browser
New in AccurioPro Flux Premium and AccurioPro Flux Ultimate is the possibility to do without a locally installed program (Flux Workstation) and work directly in the browser. Almost all functions of the Flux Workstation are now available in parallel on the central Flux Server, so that print jobs can be edited directly in the browser and transferred to the printer. Prepress employees can now access print jobs from any PC and, for the first time, from a Mac or mobile device.
Interface for faster operations
The integration of AccurioPro Flux into existing infrastructures and workflows as well as the connection to existing software solutions helps to optimize the operational processes of a print shop. AccurioPro Flux now allows bidirectional communication with external systems via a published programming interface (API). For example, existing webshops, management information systems or ERP solutions can be connected in order to transfer print jobs to AccurioPro Flux and exchange the current job status with each other.
