Tuesday 26. March 2019 - The company showcased both products at the Hunkeler Innovation Days in Lucerne at the end of February

Mondi has recently launched two new premium brands for the book-printing market: Pergraphica Ivory Rough 1.5 and NEUJET silk book white. The company presented both brands at the Hunkeler Innovation Days in Lucerne at the end of February. These products complement Mondi’s professional print portfolio with premium solutions for offset and high-speed inkjet book printers.
PERGRAPHICA Ivory Rough 1.5 – paper for perfectionists
With its exceptional bulk and opacity, Pergraphica Ivory Rough 1.5 is the perfect paper for text-heavy premium book applications. The paper’s ivory shade with its warm, natural feel makes for comfortable reading, and its rough surface texture projects a pure look. The quality is available in one shade, one bulk (1.5) and three substance weights (70, 80, 90 g/m2) in folio and reels with FSC certification. Pergraphica Ivory Rough is optimised for hybrid printing – Offset and digital.
NEUJET silk book white – silk paper for the most demanding print jobs
NEUJET silk book white is the latest product in Mondi’s high-speed inkjet range, and specifically optimized for book printing. The paper provides high colour gamut results due to the excellent ink fixation on the surface. It dries fast, which is ideal for highly productive printing presses. NEUJET silk book white’s smooth and silky surface make this paper very friendly to the readers’ eyes. It has a highly calendared surface, treated for dye and pigment inks.
Mondi at the Hunkeler Innovation Days
Mondi is already a veteran among exhibitors at the Hunkeler Innovation Days. This year marked our 5th presence at the fair. The company focused on the new additions targeting the book publishing market: Pergraphica Ivory Rough 1.5 and NEUJET silk book white. During the event that takes place bi-annually in Lucerne (Switzerland) Mondi’s international staff met existing business partners and used the time to get to know future customers. Wolfgang Kropiunik, Head of high-speed inkjet, praised the quality of the audience “We keep experiencing this show as the best lead generator for our business where we meet customers well advanced into their digital inkjet transition. The venue is small enough so that visitors can take their time to have deep and meaningful discussions”.
