Inkjet & Digital Printing

Adhesivos Romero Garcia signs a Domino press

Tuesday 03. October 2017 - Antnio Romero and Angel Garcia, joint owners of Murcia based Adhesivos Romero Garcia, came onto the Domino stand at Labelexpo 2017 to seal the deal for their latest investment in a Domino N610i ink jet label press. Although they are not newcomers to digital printing, this is their first venture into digital ink jet technology.

Founded in 1987, the company now has 52 employees with a turnover of 8.9 million Euros in 2016. They have an international customer base spanning across various sectors including beverages, cosmetics and personal care, food, pharmaceutical, automotive, and transport & logistics.

António and Angel take pride in their business being more than just a graphic arts company specialising in the production of self-adhesive labels, and use their knowledge and experience to provide advice to their customers about the best combination of designs, inks, and substrates to use to create the most cost-effective and eye-catching labels to make their products stand out on the shelf. They utilise a combination of conventional including flexo and silk-screen, and digital printing technologies in order to achieve this.

After extensive market research and some initial sample label testing, Antonio and Angel attended a successful product demonstration at Domino’s headquarters in the UK. António said, “We were extremely satisfied with the samples that we ran on the Domino press, being particularly impressed both with the print quality and the cost effectiveness of production.”

António continues, “We have decided that the 5 colour N610i ink jet label press is the perfect complement to our existing in-house printing technologies, and will provide us with an opportunity to target new market sectors that we have previously been unable to reach. The excellent print quality, the high white opacity with its ‘added value’ textured printing capability, and job profitability have been key contributing factors in our decision to invest in the Domino N610i.”

Angel concludes, “We are delighted to be partnering with Domino and look forward to expanding our business and the product offering that we can provide to our customers.”
