SHIMA SEIKI to Exhibit at DTG2017

Tuesday 14. February 2017 - Leading computerized knitting machine manufacturer SHIMA SEIKI of Wakayama, Japan will be exhibiting at the 14th Dhaka International Textile & Garment Machinery Exhibition (DTG 2017) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in cooperation with its partner Pacific Associates Ltd. Operating in Bangladesh since 1996, this will be the tenth time the Japanese manufacturer will participate at DTG.

SHIMA SEIKI will be exhibiting its latest solutions to meet the current needs of the Bangladeshi market as well as advanced solutions for future market needs. As pioneer of WHOLEGARMENT knitting technology whereby an entire gar- ment can be produced in one piece on the machine without linking or sewing, SHIMA SEIKI will show its SWG061N WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine which provides opportunities for highly flexible WHOLEGARMENT production over a wide range of items in a compact, economical package. MACH2SIR is an intarsia specialty machine with the capacity for up to 40 intarsia carriers, the largest number of intarsia feeders available in flat knitting. The benchmark SVR series wel- comes the addition of a new model shown for the first time at ITMA Asia + CITME 2016 held in Shanghai last October. SVR123SP features a loop presser bed mounted above the rear needle bed and is capable of inlay technique for produc- ing unique, value-added hybrid knit-weave fabrics. The SSR series workhorse shaping machine will also be on display, fea- turing all the technological achievements for which SHIMA SEIKI is made famous: DSCS Digital Stitch Control System; spring-type moveable sinker system; stitch presser; yarn gripper and cutter; takedown comb; and more. For each of these machines, Made-in-Japan quality, reliability, productivity, user-friendliness and cost-performance combine to satisfy the high expectations of the world’s fashion industry.
Also shown will be the SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system. At the core of SHIMA SEIKI’s “Total Fashion System” concept, APEX3 integrates all stages of apparel production into one smooth and efficient workflow from planning and design to production and sales promotion. With ultra-realistic product simulations, APEX3 is also capable of Virtual Sampling that minimizes time, material and cost from the sample-making process.
