Brands Owners Choose Hop-Syn Media

Friday 02. September 2016 - Brand owners have a choice when it comes to the media for their print projects, and more buyers are choosing Hop-Syn’s synthetic paper, with its multiple grades, for the seemingly endless options. For instance, point-of-purchase signage that enables the colors to really pop, there’s a Hop-Syn grade for that. For banners that necessitate durability, there’s a Hop-Syn grade for that. For retail graphics that will be backlit, there’s a Hop-Syn grade for that.

Recyclable. High Quality. Cost Effective.

Hop-Syn’s range of synthetic papers is meeting a growing need for recyclable, high quality and cost effective media. Constructed from polypropylene resins, Hop-Syn synthetic papers provide extra durability versus traditional pulp-based papers, and are compatible with a variety of print technologies – from UV inkjet and screen print to offset litho, flexo, thermal transfer and UV offset.

Sustainability is on everyone’s radar, and brand owners value that Hop-Syn papers are tree- and pulp-free; 100% recyclable; free of toxins, heavy metals and chlorine; waterproof; and every grade is available in a variety of roll widths, sheet sizes and gauges — a differentiation valued by print partners, while at a price point that makes it an easy choice.

Hop-Syn Synthetic Paper Grades

Hop-Syn papers are available in 6 individual grades, each featuring unique characteristics designed to align with specific print applications:

G1 – A white, opaque tear-resistant synthetic paper that folds without scoring and is resistant to scuffs, tears and weather. Ideal for maps, charts, retail packaging and manual text pages.

G2 – This heavy-gauge synthetic with added whitening agents features the weather-resistant properties of plastic; now available in rolls as well as sheets.

XT – Designed with extra tear-strength and water-resistant properties to allow print promotions to meet the most demanding environmental conditions. Perfect for POP displays, signs, banners and shelf talkers.

TO – Features an extra opacity to stop light, extreme tear-resistance in both directions, and high resistance to scuffing and weather. Ideal for window signs, well-lit retail applications, POP displays, signage and more.

DL – With its bright-white surface, low density and tri-laminated construction, this synthetic paper is strong enough to be utilized for the most tear-resistant applications. Maps, charts, safety manuals and coupon books are just a few applications.

BL – This high-impact, white translucent synthetic is designed for backlit POP signage and displays. Weather-resistant, tear-resistant and UV-durable, it can be used for applications ranging from tradeshow graphics and airport displays to bus shelter and fine-art displays.
