Launch of TSP143III Bluetooth printer reinforces Star Micronics’ position as the POS printer manufacturer offering the widest range of Bluetooth countertop printing solutions

Thursday 28. July 2016 - Star Micronics announces the launch of its TSP143III Bluetooth printer, the latest addition to its renowned TSP100 futurePRNT Series. This launch reinforces Star’s position as the POS printer manufacturer offering the widest range of countertop thermal and matrix Bluetooth printers for 80mm and 112mm receipting, labelling and ticketing. The TSP143III Bluetooth offers users a wealth of features including a variety of free-of-charge software tools and digital receipting service for a rapidly evolving mPOS marketplace seeking feature-rich, low cost Bluetooth connectivity.

Designed to work with today’s market leading operating systems including Android, iOS, Linux, Mac OS and Windows, the TSP143III Bluetooth provides an autoconnect function for iOS after power on or an out-of-range situation thus ensuring functionality at all times. Featuring a print speed of 250mm/second, a guillotine auto cutter (MCBF 2 million cuts) as well as thin paper capability, the printer provides benefits for the environment and reduced operating costs for the retailer. The cost-effective solution includes the convenience of an internal power supply along with a vertical mount kit in the box.

Retailers can also take advantage of the futurePRNT software tools available with the entire TSP100 Series. This free-of-charge value added software enables users to install high volume, customer setups without even taking the printer out of its box. All settings are stored on the PC removing the need to pre-configure the printer itself while providing time and maintenance savings.

The TSP143III Bluetooth also features Star’s new digital receipting service AllReceipts that offers retailers a free of charge, fast route to providing the customer with a digital copy of a print receipt as well as access to analytics, an in-store customer survey and device management tools. With zero development required, AllReceipts is enabled within the Star TSP100 printer driver and works independently of a retailer’s POS software. Triggered by a traditional printed receipt, a digital copy of the receipt is sent to the AllReceipts App on the customer’s mobile with no email address or mobile number required. Receipts can only be claimed once and are then deleted, while saved receipts can be viewed by date or by retailer with personal or business tags on the customer’s device.

The Engage NOW feature allows the retailer to provide links to promotions, discounts, coupons, etc on the Engage NOW landing page. Customers using the AllReceipts App can simply tap on the retailer’s logo from the list of receipts on their smartphone and be directed to a URL that the retailer specifies. Engage NOW is secure and easily customizable, providing a highly personal customer connection. Receipt Flip is the latest addition to this service providing the first two-sided colour digital receipt option. This feature enables retailers to take advantage of the reverse side of digital receipts, as they can on printed receipts, to display terms and conditions, store policies, promotions, marketing material, etc.

“Star is continually enhancing its portfolio to provide retail and hospitality with unique mPOS printing solutions and the new TSP143III Bluetooth is no exception,” states Annette Tarlton, Marketing Director, Star Micronics EMEA. “Demonstrating our dedication to the sector, Star is now leading the industry with the largest range of countertop thermal and matrix Bluetooth printers for 80mm and 112mm receipting, labelling and ticketing.”
