OR BOOKS ANNOUNCES ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH COUNTERPOINT PRESS

Monday 09. May 2016 - OR Books is excited to announce its partnership with Counterpoint Press. Launched in 2009 by two experienced industry insiders, from the start OR Books placed its emphasis on selling direct to consumers via the Internet. Now, through this partnership with Counterpoint, many of OR Books’ titles will be available for the first time through booksellers throughout the country.


Under the direction of publishers John Oakes and Colin Robinson, OR Books has published some 100 books thus far. Its authors include important names such as Gordon Lish, Julian Assange, Patrick Cockburn, John Freeman, Eileen Myles and Yoko Ono.

This week the companies will launch their Fall 2016 co-published list, which includes such frontlist titles as Kingdom of the Unjust: Behind the US-Saudi Connection by Medea Benjamin, and Folding the Red Into the Black: Developing a Viable Untopia for Human Survival in the 21st Century by recent Grand Master Mystery Writers of America winner Walter Mosley. They will also be featuring several backlist titles as well, which includes Inferno: A Poet’s Novel by Eileen Myles, Bowie by Simon Critchley and Julian Assange’s Cypherpunks and When Google Met Wikileaks.
