Ultrachem launch SAFE TO TOUCH Print Coatings

Monday 16. February 2015 - Ultrachem, the independent supplier of coatings and press room consumables has announced the immediate launch of NEW SAFE to TOUCH PRINT (STTP) Emulsion (water-based) Coatings.

SAFE to TOUCH PRINT is an antibacterial print coating that works by deactivating all current common pathogens. Successful trials have now officially taken place throughout the UK for this revolutionary product which uses a combination of BPR approved ingredients.
Key features include a kill rate of 99.99% of bacteria, viruses and fungi, which makes all printed surfaces coated with SAFE to TOUCH PRINT effective within 4 minutes* giving protection that will last the lifetime of the print.
These unique antibacterial properties make the STTP coatings ideal for a wide range of end uses including medical and hospital documents, pharmaceutical printing, non-food packaging through to everyday printed menus, stationery and even magazines which are often multi-party handled.
What’s more, feedback from the recent print trials have given the reassurance that the product does not affect the runnability, drying characteristics, appearance, consistency and final printed result.
