Heidelberg expands digital team to coincide with new press range

Monday 03. November 2014 - Coinciding with the launch of the latest digital range, Heidelberg UK has announced an addition to its team. Darren Godfrey joins Heidelberg after six years selling Konica Minolta production equipment.

Darren Godfrey will work closely with the exiting sales team to increase digital sales in the south and will be reporting to Chris Matthews. A northern counterpart is planned for the first half of 2015.
Chris Matthews, who heads up the digital arm at Heidelberg UK, says: “Darren brings a lot of experience and focus to this sector. His appointment marks the first part of a digital expansion at Heidelberg after another successful year.”
Darren will be taking to market the newly launched Linoprint CV (commercial value) and Linoprint CP (commercial performance) packages, which will supersede the Linoprint C751 and C 901 respectively.
The Linoprint CV, which offers the option of a fifth colour for white or clear varnish applications, can handle stocks of 52 to 360gms and, depending on feeder selection, can handle 330 x 488mm sheets (standard) or 330 x 700mm (banner) formats. It can be supplied with 80 or 90 A4 pages a minute speed options.
The Linoprint CP for 52 to 400gsm production offers size options of 330 x 488mm (standard) or 330 x 700mm (banner). It can produce either 110 A4 pages a minute or 130 A4 pages a minute.
Both machines have low energy usage and operator replaceable parts.
Darren Godfrey says: “With these new lines we have models that will print well and provide solutions across a range of applications including packaging labels signage, and straight or perfected commercial work. The ability to print duplex/perfected, with a fifth colour and on stocks of up to 700 mil are game-changing developments. I am very glad to be part of Heidelberg which is a very strong brand with a huge base of customers and vast expertise in this market.”
