MEADOWS PUBLISHING SOLUTIONS AND KODAK CERTIFY DESIGNMERGE SOFTWARE FOR NEXPRESS USERS

Tuesday 30. September 2014 - Award-winning DesignMerge VDP software now approved for use on the Kodak NexPress Digital Production Color Press and other digital presses

DesignMerge Pro is an award-winning suite of plug-in modules that allow users to quickly and easily create variable data output from any Adobe InDesign document;
Kodak has tested and approved DesignMerge software for use on all Kodak NexPress Digital Production Color Presses;
DesignMerge works well with the Kodak NexPress Fifth Imaging Station inks, which are ideal for specialty VDP applications;

Meadows Publishing Solutions and Kodak today announced that the Meadows DesignMerge Pro Variable Data Software has been tested and approved for use with the Kodak NexPress Digital Production Color Press.
DesignMerge is a professional Variable Data Printing (VDP) software package that works directly with Adobe InDesign. The software is ideal for data-driven VDP applications, from relatively simple, multi-up consecutive numbering and bar coding jobs, to sophisticated, personalized direct mail pieces.
“DesignMerge provides a straightforward, single-step capability to use the unique Kodak NexPress Fifth Imaging Station inks as variable data directly within the application. This opens up the power of the special Fifth Imaging Station inks for some very creative uses of variable data,” said Len Christopher, EPS WW Product Manager.
Using DesignMerge, VDP jobs designed for the NexPress Fifth Imaging Station inks are very easy to implement. Ink colors such as Gold or Red Fluorescing can be used for specialty VDP applications, such as eye-catching personalized overlays, or hidden, variable security information.
