Inkjet & Digital Printing

Industrial marking and verification systems at the highest level

Wednesday 03. September 2014 - LEIBINGER introduces its extensive product range at the Motek and Fakuma 2014 trade shows

Paul Leibinger GmbH & Co. KG is introducing its extensive range of continuous inkjet printers and the versatile LKS 5 camera system, first to an industry audience at the Motek trade show in Stuttgart (October 6 to 9, 2014) and then at Fakuma in Friedrichshafen (October 14 to 18, 2014). Interested visitors can see for themselves the high product quality and ease of service, innovative technologies and user-friendly design of the marking specialist from Tuttlingen, Germany. For this purpose, visitors can bring their own samples to the booth to be marked in real time by the small character inkjet printers.
Paul LEIBINGER will be featured at the Motek (Hall 1, Booth 1226) and Fakuma (Hall A1, Booth 1316) trade shows, demonstrating its current JET3 and Jet2neo CIJ-models to interested parties in the production and assembly automation fields as well as the plastics industry. These models mark all surfaces and products, such as cables, pipes, electrical, extruded and injection molded parts, without contact and during ongoing production. The automated Sealtronic nozzle seal also effectively prevents the ink from drying, even after lengthy pauses in production. This means LEIBINGER inkjet printers are ready for use at all times.
Depending on the specific requirements for the material, ink and type of labeling, two models of the LEIBINGER JET3 series will be of great interest for visitors to Motek and Fakuma. The extra small nozzle of the JET3mi provides outstanding performance for small and fine print. The JET3pi features an ingenious system that works easily with contrast inks, which are frequently needed when labeling dark substrates. LEIBINGER small character inkjet printers label even rough and convex surfaces, whether they are made of metal, plastic, glass or cardboard.
Moreover, interested visitors can obtain information about the wide variety of functions provided by the products made in Germany. Recently, a new module was added to the WINJET3 software for controlling multiple JET3 inkjet printers. “WINJET3 XY” makes it possible to mark e.g. small plastic parts in magazines on an XY portal system, quickly, easily and cost-effectively from left to right and top to bottom. The Shoot-and-Print function makes it possible to load new text, numbers or entire print jobs using a handheld scanner. This eliminates typical sources of errors during product marking and coding, such as incorrect job selection or mistyping. In addition, the Prompt function enables quick access to information such as LOT or serial numbers to update a print job in just seconds.
The LEIBINGER camera system LKS 5 adds a versatile verification system to the line of industrial inkjet printers. This system reads and decodes fixed and variable data, text segments or 1D/2D barcodes on the fly. For example, the high-resolution cameras detect register deviations or changes in parallelism based on preset reference values. Defective objects are discharged by the high-performance I/O controller. Serialized products can also be checked and inspected using the LEIBINGER camera system LKS 5. Optionally, the production log provides comprehensive documentation. The versatile design options make it possible to implement customer-specific requirements.
