Fit for the future: Modernising printing machines by technotrans
Monday 01. September 2014 - This year's appearance of technotrans AG at the IFRA Expo 2014 in Amsterdam is dedicated to the modernisation of offset printing machines. The main focus of the stand is the installation of new, and the replacement of existing spray dampening systems for enhancing the competitiveness of systems.
From 13 to 15 October 2014, the company from Westphalian Sassenberg presents peripheral equipment for enhanced efficiency of existing machinery at booth 11.555.
“The challenge in offset printing is to secure competitiveness through modernisation,” says sales manager Peter Böcker. technotrans refrains from showing technical exhibits at IFRA Expo, as the experts in peripheral equipment favour dialogue with visitors to discuss individual situations in operations. Each system is to some degree unique and requires an individual solution, explained Böcker. Many users and printers for example, had no spray dampening or obsolete models whose replacement would result in significant efficiency gains.
One product range that helps reducing costs is the deltaspray.line. The spray dampening systems feature a unique nozzle cleaning concept, do not require active air pressure and increase productivity significantly. “In recent months, we have been very successful on the market with deltaspray. More and more users rely on this technology and modernise their systems,” says Böcker. The information on positive effects is spreading quickly: The sales manager experienced a huge demand for spray dampening systems this year. In addition to decreasing costs, the quality of the print result is significantly improved by applying dampening water to the roller with individually controlled nozzles. For newspaper printing, technotrans offers all peripherals, from dampening solution circulators to central ink supply.
In digital printing, the focus in Amsterdam is again on cooling and temperature control. Also in this area, technotrans is looking for discussions with users and manufacturers. The company is represented on the IFRA Expo from13 to 15 October at booth 11.555 together with IST METZ.
