Chinese ceramics leaders show future direction with Xaar partnership

Friday 23. May 2014 - Xaar, the ceramics industry's leading inkjet printhead specialist, is delighted to announce its partnership with two leading Chinese ceramics industry manufacturers - Keda Clean Energy and Guangdong Wanxing Inorganic Pigment - to develop products that maximise the power of Xaar's market-leading technology.

Keda Clean Energy is the world’s largest supplier and integrator of equipment for every stage of ceramic tile production lines. Like Xaar, Keda’s strategy is the digitalisation of the full end-to-end manufacturing process and, as a result, has chosen Xaar printheads as the core technology for its new DPG range of digital tile decoration printers. The first 700mm-wide DPG model makes its global debut at Ceramics China this week (21st-24th May, Guangzhou).
Also on-board is Guangdong Wanxing Inorganic Pigment, a leading producer of ceramics pigments for markets worldwide. Xaar and Wanxing will collaborate closely to develop a new generation of digital inks and glazes specifically designed to optimise the superb performance of the new family of Xaar 1002 printheads.
“Partnerships with best-in-class printer and ink manufacturers were fundamental to the outstanding success of the Xaar 1001, which transformed the ceramics tile industry,” says Bob Bobertz, General Manager, Xaar Asia Pacific.  “We are delighted to be partnering with Keda, a visionary company with a global reputation for excellence.  Guangdong Wanxing is also recognised as a leading ceramic ink supplier and its commitment to the development of new digital inks and glazes for the Xaar 1002 printheads will bring significant benefits to the Chinese market.”
