Portraits of a different kind
Tuesday 18. February 2014 - The production of a 3D portrait requires six portrait photos from different angles, which are then used to prepare the 3D data set. The portrait is then "printed" to the desired size using a 3D printer.
The busts are white, but can also be produced in colour. If you are interested in obtaining your own 3D portrait or are looking for an unusual present, please feel free to contact the voxeljet service centre for more information.
The winners of voxeljet’s EuroMold promotion have lots of reasons to smile: their 3D portraits were recently shipped out. Visitors to the EuroMold will remember: at the voxeljet trade fair stand, visitors could enter a competition and win a portrait bust of themselves made with a 3D printer. First place went to Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Günther Poszvek, a lecturer at the Fachhochschule Technikum in Vienna, who was very pleased with his prize on account of the excellent design.
