This is what they said …
Mr Patrick Ablefoni,
Sales Africa – Doehler GmbH:
Doehler is active in Ghana since 10 years now and for 20 years already on the African continent. In West Africa we have local entities in Benin, Nigeria and Cameroon. The Sub-Sahara region is in our focal point due to the existence of large reserves of raw materials. Especially Ghana for us is a West African hub of the big players in the industry.
Our main goal in participating in agrofood West Africa is to strengthen the reputation of the company Doehler in this region. According to our strategy we want to accompany start-ups from the very beginning. We are here to accommodate new ideas in order to develop proactive procedures and to extent our market understanding. To sum up, agrofood West Africa is an ideal starting point to assimilate new ideas and bring them to life!
Mr T.H. Bernard Wong Chor,
Technical Sales Manager – Chao Wei Plastic Machinery Co. Ltd.:
Chao Wei is active in Ghana and in West Africa since the year 2001. We have already sold lots of machines to West Africa, for instance more than 100 machines to Ghana, over 100 to Togo, about 50 to Ivory Coast and some 30 to Nigeria. The core target of our participation at plastprintpack West Africa 2013 is to get in touch with more Ghanaian and West African customers.
Mr Vincent Commes,
General Manager – Konica Minolta:
We are active in Ghana since years, but just via emails and telephone. This exhibition gives us for the very first time the possibility to get in personal contact with our customers. Our target is to show Ghanaian companies that we are not only committed to sales, but also to help them to improve their knowledge in this respective business segment. We had fruitful discussions with companies, who are self-motivated to raise their product quality level. Most companies already know us, and are glad to meet us and our partners from Miller Graphics, Mark Andy & Conseil Graphiq physically during the three days of this exhibition.
Mr Mario Lencioni,
Export & Hybrid Manager – DS Smith Packaging:
plastprintpack & agrofood West Africa 2013 is our first exhibition in the region and we regard it as an opportunity. The main target for our participation is to explore the ECOWAS-market.
Mr Thomas Lehner,
Sales Director Middle East and Central Asia – Engel:
Engel machines are already installed in many West African countries, for instance in Nigeria. ECOWAS with its hotspots Ghana and Nigeria for applications such as packaging, medical and technical moulding are growing in terms of plastic products. We are satisfied with the quality of the professional visitors as about 10% are interested in Engel and could be potential Engel customers.
Mr Mark E. Wild,
Sales Manager – FAWEMA:
FAWEMA is already doing business in Africa since 30 years, but West Africa is a region that we need to develop for our products. We see huge potential for growth in the future in this area. agrofood West Africa is an ideal platform to meet potential clients, to gain an idea of the market, to identifiy target industries in the area and to study possible strategic alliances with partners already present in Ghana. We hope that the business contacts made at our stand will prove to be successful ones.
