Management change at Messe Frankfurt Exhibition

Thursday 10. October 2013 - Cordelia von Gymnich appointed Vice President responsible for the Paperworld, Creativeworld, Christmasworld and Hair and Beauty trade fairs

Ruth Lorenz now in charge of the development of new events at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre
Cordelia von Gymnich (52), Vice President of the ‘Entertainment, Media & Creation’ Division, will take over the ‘Consumer Goods II’ Division of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH with effect from 1 October 2013. This means she will also be responsible for the Paperworld, Creativeworld, Christmasworld and Hair and Beauty consumer-goods fairs in addition to the Musikmesse and Prolight+Sound trade fairs, which she has managed since 2000. Cordelia von Gymnich takes over from Ruth Lorenz who will be responsible for the development of new events at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre. With this position, Lorenz will be in charge of the ‘New Events’ Division which, in addition to innovation management, also incorporates the development of events, such as Webchance, M-Days and other future-oriented event themes.

A graduate in law, Cordelia von Gymnich began her career with Messe Frankfurt in 1989 and has gathered extensive experience in the fair and exhibition sector. After working as Assistant to the CEO and Area Sales Manager for Latin America, Cordelia von Gymnich was appointed Vice President, International Sales, in 1995. She has been responsible for the ‘Entertainment, Media & Creation’ Division, with the Musikmesse and Prolight+Sound fairs and their foreign offshoots, since 2000. Thus, she has a thorough understanding of the needs and trends in the trade and the service sector. Cordelia von Gymnich will use this experience to continue developing the Paperworld, Creativeworld, Christmasworld and Hair and Beauty trade fairs in Frankfurt and pave their way into a sustainable future.
Cordelia von Gymnich is married and has two children.
