OfficeMax Launches Digital Innovation Collaboration Center

OfficeMax() Incorporated (NYSE: OMX), a leading provider of office supplies, technology and services, and the 11th largest online retailer(1), today celebrated the launch of the OfficeMax Digital Innovation Collaboration Center (Digital IC(2)) to build upon the company’s history of delivering an award-winning e-commerce experience for customers.

Located within OfficeMax’s international headquarters in Naperville, Ill., the new Digital IC(2) was designed with direct input from digital associates to create a space that facilitates team communication and creativity based on the digital teams’ work styles to help bring innovation to market. The new Center is one of the latest ways OfficeMax is delivering against its strategic plan to create a differentiated customer experience through next-generation digital innovation and enhancements.
The OfficeMax Digital Innovation Collaboration Center builds on the company’s history of innovation in its award-winning e-commerce business to continuously improve the customer shopping experience and build brand loyalty. Earlier this year, OfficeMax launched a new search engine with content and navigation improvements on its OfficeMax Workplace(SM) business-to-business e-commerce site, OfficeMaxWorkplace.com, to deliver a faster and more streamlined online shopping experience. In 2012 OfficeMax launched Online Store Pickup(SM) allowing customers to shop online at OfficeMax.com and pick up select orders the same day at an OfficeMax store. It also rolled out ongoing web site and search engine upgrades to help customers shop faster, with more accurate search and recommendation results for a more productive online shopping experience. These and other innovations led to OfficeMax being ranked the #1 top performing website for speed of online transactions among U.S. online electronics retailers during the busiest shopping week of 2012 by Keynote(), the global leader in Internet and mobile cloud testing & monitoring. OfficeMax was also named a 2012 Compuware Best of the Web Award winner for outstanding website performance among leading retailers.
