GMC Software Technology Hires Deming Cha to Head Up Greater China Office

Thursday 01. August 2013 - GMC Inspire gets entrepreneurial heavyweight to drive vertical market focus

GMC Software TechnologyMC), the award-winning leader in Customer Communications Management (CCM), today announced Mr Deming Cha as general manager, Greater China region. With 30 staff and based in Shanghai, Cha is responsible for the continuation of the aggressive double digit year-on-year growth GMC is experiencing, as well as the day-to-day running of the region.
GMC is the accepted regional market leader for CCM and multichannel output management. Its solution, GMC Inspire, is the standard software platform used to generate, format and deliver client documentation and communication by print, tablet, internet or smartphone.
As China is running at 7.5%[1] year-on-year GDP growth, Cha’s first priority is to drive GMC’s presence further into new verticals markets include insurance and telecoms.
He reports to Johnny Lu, managing director Asia/Pacific. Lu confirmed: “As part of our plan to hire the best talent possible, we are pleased Deming joined us. As a seasoned executive in enterprise software, he brings a wealth of experiences and skills that will not only maintain GMC’s dominance in the PSP market, but because of his entrepreneurial approach, will propel GMC further into our target vertical markets.”
Having completed his education at San Jose State University securing an MS Software Engineering, Cha worked at Adobe from 1991 to 1993. Over the next five and half years, he climbed the ranks at SAP, ultimately leaving as VP presales in Taiwan. A number of increasingly responsible and sales-related roles at Envive, Octasoft, APAC Solutions and Inventec brought him to Greater China regional director of Compuware.
Cha confirmed: “I am excited to join the GMC family at a booming time. With regular launches of industry specific solutions and the consistent harnessing of new technology to deliver relevant communications at the right time, through the preferred channel for every type of enterprise customer, I look forward to continuing the growth of GMC and extending its presence in the region. I expect to be announcing a number of high-profile contract wins soon.”
With two grown-up sons, Cha is married and enjoys travel, photography and fine cuisine.
