Christoph Zemelka to take on a special project in Asia for one year
Effective November 1, Dr. Eva-Maria Rakob (52) will be heading up the press department at Bosch, the supplier of technology and services. Rakob, who holds a doctorate in Indian studies, has worked in corporate communications at diverse companies since 1995.
In 2004, she joined Bosch as the head of internal communications, and later assumed responsibility for the Change and Communications Management department. In 2012, she moved to Vienna, Austria, for one year, where she was in overall charge of communications at Robert Bosch AG. Prior to joining Bosch, she was involved in internal communications and press work for two companies in Heidelberg: the printing machinery manufacturer Heidelberger Druckmaschinen and the research center of ABB, the energy and automation technology company.
Effective the same date, Dr. Christoph Zemelka (44) will take on a special project in Asia for one year. Zemelka, who has a PhD in journalism, currently heads up the press office of Robert Bosch GmbH. Before taking up that position, he was responsible within the Bosch Group for internal communications, and prior to that headed up the issues management unit and was in charge of communicating restructuring and M&A projects. Zemelka has been at Bosch since November 2004. When the special project ends, he will return to his previous post.
Rakob will start preparing for her new task from July 2013. As deputy heads of Corporate Communications, Rakob and Zemelka report directly to Prof. Uta-Micaela Dürig (49), who has been responsible for global communications, including brand management and sustainability, since January 1, 2004.
