Top Image Files for Patent for Full Page (Letter /A4) Mobile Imaging; Launches MobiFLOW for Capturing & Indexing Documents of Any Size Using a Mobile Device

Top Image Systems, Ltd. (TIS) (Nasdaq: TISA), a leading ECM (Enterprise Content Management) intelligent content capture and delivery solutions provider, today announced the filing for a patent regarding mobile capture capabilities for full page (letter/A4). Existing solutions base mobile capture of pages on snapshots from the mobile device camera. The images produced by this method are not high quality enough to enable further processing of the document and automatic extraction of the information. The TIS invention uses a unique image capturing process that allows stitching (called also “Mosaicking”) images to create a mosaic image of a document which is ready for text analysis and indexing.
TIS is using this technology to enhance its Mobile Capture offering beyond Remote Deposit Capture (MobiCHECK) and bill payments (MobiPAY), and to be able to use a mobile device to effectively capture and analyze full page forms – such as insurance claims or healthcare forms. TIS is now offering MobiFLOW, a multipurpose mobile capture and processing platform, providing a solution for capturing & Indexing any document of any size using a mobile device (smartphone/tablet) and is based on our new patent.
