Smithers Pira: HP, Landa and Xeikon to Reveal Future of Digitally Printed Packaging; Heineken and Innocent Drinks to Highlight Own Successes

Globally, the market for digital printed packaging and labels continues to grow quickly, driven by buyers’ changing demands, the improving economics of shorter print runs, agile job set-up and custom data printing. Digital printed packaging will reach a market value of $12.26 billion by 2016, having exhibited a compound annual growth rate of 20.6% between 2011 and 2016 according to Smithers Pira’s forecasts.
Taking place 24-25 October, Grange Tower Bridge, London, Digital Print for Packaging 2012 will provide a comprehensive review of the capabilities of digital pack printing through a range of case studies and insightful perspectives. The market will also be analysed, quantified and picked apart by end-users, converters, label printers, designers and technology providers to give attendees the most complete picture to date of what lies ahead in this growing niche of packaging technology.
Hewlett Packard, Landa Digital Printing, and Xeikon will provide insight into the future of digitally printed packaging, including the evolution taking place in this field. From a brand owner perspective, Heineken and Innocent Drinks will reveal how they have used personalisation and customised promotions to successfully drive their brands.
Perspectives of converters and packaging printers will be highlighted with talks from the Mercian Labels Group, Constantia Packaging, Tonejet, Shere Print & Ultimate Packaging on how they use digital print technology alongside their conventional print capabilities to deliver client requests. New technologies entering the marketplace and case study presentations of who is using the equipment and what for will also be provided by Epson, Fujifilm, Xaar, Océ Printing Systems and others.
