SAY Media Names New President
Wednesday 11. July 2012 - TIME Worldwide Publisher Kimberly Kelleher to Create a 'Once-in-a-Generation Media Company' at SAY Media
SAY Media is pleased to announce that TIME Magazine Worldwide Publisher Kimberly Kelleher has been named President of the company, effective September 1, 2012. In this capacity, she will manage and execute SAY’s overall business strategy while leading the company’s sales, marketing, media solutions and content operations teams. Kim succeeds Troy Young, who has chosen to leave the company at the end of July to pursue new career opportunities. A key member of the leadership team at SAY for almost six years, he will continue to serve as a Special Advisor to the CEO.
Recognized for her talent and achievements as last year’s Advertising Age’s Publisher of the Year for her work at TIME Magazine, Kim brings more than two decades of experience growing revenues and brands to SAY Media. Prior to her work at TIME, she was Vice President and Publisher for Sports Illustrated and before that she spent nearly 10 years working at leading Condé Nast titles like SELF Magazine. Kim also worked at publications including ELLE and Elle Décor earlier in her career.
“I’m very excited to welcome Kim to SAY. Our success is rooted in delivering high quality media products for a digital age and our ability to help advertisers engage with incredibly passionate audiences — the loyal readers of our growing portfolio of publications,” said Matt Sanchez, CEO of SAY Media. “Kim’s accomplishments and experience running and growing some of the world’s most prolific media brands will have a tremendous impact on our continued success. I’m confident that she will make a huge contribution toward building a modern media company.”
“SAY is creating unique and memorable digital experiences for brands that reach today’s social consumer,” said Kim Kelleher. “I’m fascinated by how quickly media consumption habits are changing and the innovation that’s happening at SAY as a result. I am thrilled to join this incredible team to help create a ‘once-in-a-generation media company’ that will lead the industry for years to come.”
Kim serves on the board of directors of the American Advertising Federation and is a member of its Advertising Hall of Achievement. She was also named to Advertising Age’s “40 Under Forty,” “Media Mavens,” and an “Industry Influencer” by Folio. Kim is also on the Board of Governors of Cancer and Careers, the charitable arm of Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW), and the Vice Chair of Women in Need, Inc. (WIN). While at SELF, Kelleher lead the Signature Workout in the Park health and wellness series, a popular yearly philanthropic event.
Kim will be based in SAY Media’s New York City office.
