C.P. Bourg Unveils Purpose-Built BDFNx Finisher for Predictable Workflows at Drupa 2012

Thursday 14. June 2012 - Price-conscious owners of print shops around the world with routine production needs were shown a new finishing option here on the C.P. Bourg stand 13B69 at Drupa 2012, with the international unveiling of the new C.P. Bourg BDFNx, a purpose-built version of its proven Bourg BDF Document Finisher designed to accept sheets printed in standard sizes by Xerox Nuvera Production Systems.

Designed to operate in-line with Xerox Nuvera 100 and 120 EA Production Systems, the new BDFNx Document Finisher applies the legendary reliability and durability of the proven Bourg BDF platform to finishing printed output in three standard sheet sizes ? 8.5 x 11 inches (216 x 279mm), 8.5 x 14 inches (216 x 355mm) and 11 x 17 inches (279 x 432mm).
The new BDFNx combines all three finishing functions ? stitch, fold and trim ? in a single compact and self-contained unit able to top- or corner-stitch from 2 sheets to 55 sheets of 80 gsm, or to produce saddle-stitched booklets of up to 88 pages.
It features many Bourg-developed innovations, including paper transport with a unique lugged belt that gently pushes each set to the finishing functions without scuffing or marking; rollers that make sharp, square folds; automatic document size changeovers; and precision face trims to within 1/250th of an inch (0.1mm).
