Frankonia selects PIM Suite from Heiler Software
Monday 04. April 2011 - Heiler Software acquires new multi-channel client within the Otto Group
Frankonia is Germanys market leader in hunting and shooting sports and a trading company of the international Otto Group. With its unique range of hunting equipment, functional clothing, and classically elegant fashions, Frankonia serves a niche market and benefits from high growth rates. The well-established company pursues a multichannel strategy with the channels e-commerce, catalog and over-the-counter business, with 21 retail stores, and the wholesale trading of its products in over 100 countries. Frankonia is set to implement the Enterprise Product Information Management (PIM) Suite from Heiler for all its future business.
As a direct subsidiary of the mail order company Otto Group the company chose a central solution to optimally supply its sales channels – the mail order catalog, the mail order business and the online shop – with product-specific data.
As a classic multi-channel supplier Frankonia Handels GmbH & Co. KG adheres to the strategy of creating a central information basis for product information throughout all distribution channels. The availability of consistent product knowledge and the continuous communication of product details throughout the company are at the forefront of this strategy. With the Heiler enterprise PIM solution, time and money can be saved with a higher level of efficiency in data administration and therefore new requirements in the multi-channel business can be better managed. “An important part of our strategy is our ambition to simplify the processes of multi-channel commerce so as to continue to be the market leader in the future. A professional PIM system is an important requirement for this”, says Dr. Jörn Redler, Head of Advertising at Frankonia.
A special feature at Frankonia is the way the range is structured. It consists of textiles, which are subject to the seasonal conditions of a fashion mail-order company, and so called “hardware” that remains in stock for many years. This requires a PIM system that is able to reproduce complex product structures.
