Integrated Media Management Makes Strategic Acquisition: Adds Workflow, eForm Configurability to Scope of Services

Wednesday 23. March 2011 - Company pursuing new market opportunities, enhancing technological initiatives

Integrated Media Management (IMM), a document output management and automation technology provider, announced today its acquisition of DocuStep, a company specializing in the automation of electronic and paper-based workflow processes. IMM will immediately add the functionality afforded by the FormSpeed product, a Web-based workflow productivity tool for credit unions and banks that collects information and effectively routes forms through their proper channel to assure that the document process is completed correctly.
“IMM always proactively reinvests in the technological needs of our customers and in our own opportunities for growth,” explained Chuck Klein, CEO of Integrated Media Management. “The addition of DocuStep’s automated workflow offering is an ideal complement to IMM’s existing suite of services and opens up significant possibilities for how we can expand the capabilities of our products providing additional automation to our customers.”
IMM will market FormSpeed independently as a standalone add-on product, with plans to also integrate its functionality into the DocQ feature of TotaleAtlas, the company’s proprietary browser-based document presentment application. FormSpeed electronically streamlines financial institutions’ document workflow, which has historically been manual and paper-based, to minimize data entry errors, enforce data population and validate data integrity. The intelligent Wizard-based screens also help remove operational bottlenecks and missed steps in a given process.
Merging this workflow into DocQ will enable TotaleAtlas users to benefit from the same efficiencies and be assured that each phase of the document process is fulfilled. Nish Shah, chief technology officer for Integrated Media Management, said, “We believe that adding FormSpeed’s workflow into TotaleAtlas will enable users to better automate document processing, review document sets via custom flow and set reminders for specific form groups. These new capabilities are clear differentiators for our solutions in terms of both service and innovation.”
Automating data collection and customizing internal workflow enables greater productivity and a higher degree of accuracy throughout the institution because of real-time approvals and comprehensive audit trails. IMM realized the value in FormSpeed’s workflow routing since it is conditional – based on form data, the sender or other factors. The technology is also easily interfaced with banks and credit unions’ core system, and is able to send and receive data from both existing systems and third-party applications, eliminating data re-entry to minimize the risk of errors and reduce operational costs. It is highly scalable, able to accommodate an infinite number of forms and users.
Klein added, “Providing our customers with the added benefit of custom workflow configuration and form creation is a true testament of our willingness to help them achieve the greatest return on investment in transitioning to an automated environment. We expect exciting things to come from this recent addition to our business.”
