Superfos now part of the RPC Group
Tuesday 22. March 2011 - The RPC Group has acquired Superfos. The acquisition offers benefits for both companies and our customers. In keeping with RPCs existing decentralised approach, Superfos will operate as a separate cluster within the group.
RPC Group Plc has acquired 100 per cent of the share capital of Superfos Industries A/S. Together we will enhance our service to customers thanks to an enlarged geographic presence and a broader range of packaging solutions. RPC is a leading European supplier of rigid plastic packaging, producing a wide variety of products by injection moulding, blow moulding and thermoforming. RPC is a publicly owned company headquarted in the UK and has more than 5,900 employees in 11 countries. The company is now augmented by the 1,300 people employed at Superfos, which has nine production facilities all over Europe.
In many ways, RPC and Superfos are a perfect match: One example is that Superfos boosts RPC in the Nordic Region where RPC hasnt been operating so far. On the other hand, RPC holds a strong position in the UK with five manufacturing sites within injection moulding, whereas Superfos has just one here.
Based on a solid common understanding of what high quality in production and service means, the new RPC Superfos cluster will strive to be your preferred packaging supplier whether you are in the food or non-food market.
The decentralised approach of both Superfos and RPC will remain and you will not experience any changes regarding your local contact.
