PPI Asia Expands Coverage of Domestic Pulp and Paper Prices in China

Monday 07. March 2011 - RISI, the leading information provider for the global forest products industry, today announced expanded coverage of domestic Chinese prices for pulp, recovered paper, graphic papers and packaging board.

These new prices are published in PPI Asia, a subscription service that delivers market news and price reports on the Asian pulp and paper industry to executives, paper buyers, industry suppliers and financial institutions around the world.
In addition, PPI Asia moved from a bi-weekly to a weekly publication schedule with the February 25 issue.

Key content enhancements include:
— New weekly coverage of domestic Chinese pulp and recovered paper
prices
— Import prices for China recovered paper now covered weekly (previously
every other week)
— China paper and board prices now covered monthly (previously
quarterly)
“Our customers have consistently asked for more information about China’s booming pulp and paper market. This new price coverage will give them increased visibility into this critical region,” said Dali Zhang, RISI Managing Director – Asia.
These changes were made possible with RISI’s 2010 acquisition of UM Paper, China’s leading source of prices for the pulp and paper industry. RISI’s Asian editorial staff is now the most extensive covering the industry in that region.
PPI Asia is available as an online subscription. The cost for one-year’s access is US $1,150, with discounts available for groups of five or more new subscribers from the same company.
