CTI Industries Corporation Completes Installation of Latex Balloon Production Capacity

Monday 07. March 2011 - CTI Industries Corporation (NASDAQ: CTIB), a manufacturer and marketer of packaging and storage bags and pouches, metalized balloons, latex balloons, novelty items and printed and laminated films, today announced that it has completed construction and installation of new latex balloon production equipment at its plant in Guadalajara, Mexico and has commenced production utilizing the new equipment. CTI's subsidiary Flexo International, S.A. de C.V. produces latex balloons at the plant in Guadalajara.

Howard Schwan, President of CTI, stated: “With the completion of this installation, we have significantly increased our production capacity for latex balloons enabling us to respond more effectively to demand in our markets in the U.S., Mexico, Latin America and Europe. We believe this new production equipment will expand our latex balloon capacity by approximately 70% over 2010 levels.”
