Sonoco Products and Logility to Present at Sales & Operations Planning Summit

Logility Inc., a leading supplier of collaborative solutions to optimize the supply chain, will present alongside Sonoco Products, a global provider of packaging products and solutions to the industrial and consumer industries, on how sales and operations planning has helped to improve the company’s forecasting processes. The presentation, at the IE Group’s Sales & Operations Planning Summit in Las Vegas, NV January 27 – 28, 2011, will review how Logility Voyager Solutions is filling an increasingly important role as Sonoco Products deploys its S&OP initiative across a manufacturing network of 300 plus locations in 35 countries.
Sonoco Product’s networks are more complex than a typical manufacturing company. The company’s supply chain is vertically integrated with a network of paper machines feeding many product plants. Add to this that each production mill produces paper using multiple technologies, which limits flexibility between production locations and the complexity grows. In this presentation, Keith Holliday, director, supply chain and operating excellence, Sonoco Products, will review how his team is able to manage this complexity, gain greater visibility of the demand streams and streamline a formal company sales and operations planning (S&OP) process.
Mr. Holliday and Karin Bursa, vice president of marketing, Logility, will examine how Logility Voyager Solutions helped Sonoco Products:
