FFEI demonstrates new additions to RealPro 3D-Packager software at easyFairs PACKTECH 2011
Monday 24. January 2011 - New additions to RealPro 3D-Packager further simplify the packaging design process.
These include:
o Packaging weight calculator
o 3D PDF format
o High-resolution export capability
o iPad / iPhone application
New features to be demonstrated for the first time at easyFairs PACKTECH 2011.
FFEI Ltd (stand G8) will demonstrate new additions to its RealPro 3D-Packager product at easyFairs PACKTECH 2011, Birmingham NEC, 16th and 17th February.
RealPro 3D-Packager is an interactive, versatile software tool that simplifies the development and communication of carton board packaging concepts. Capable of simulating all aspects of the final product in a 3D on screen mock-up, including folding, surface finishes, material type and media thickness, RealPro 3D-Packager enables stakeholders to view multiple design concepts without reliance on costly, time-consuming physical mock-ups.
At easyFairs PACKTECH 2011, FFEI launches the latest version of the software, which incorporates a number of new features specifically requested during customer trials. A new packaging weight calculator now offers on-screen data, detailing the weight of individual components along with the total weight of the assembled packaging. This allows early decisions to be made about substrate selection and other elements that may affect packaging weight before a tangible sample is available. Such data can also be used in packaging waste, recycling and recovery calculations for reporting in line with government legislation and company sustainability commitments.
A new 3D PDF export format is also available, offering seamless communication of RealPro 3D-Packager’s output with clients. This allows viewing of the 3D file within Adobe Acrobat without the need for any additional software or plug-ins.
Other additions include a high-resolution export feature, which allows a high-resolution image of the product to be exported for use in printed or online publications, and an iPad / iPhone application, allowing viewing of the exported 3D file on Apple portable devices.
