Barrier foil packaging solutions on display at Emballage 2010.

Friday 26. November 2010 - Protective Packaging Limited, leading manufacturers of sachets, pouches, bags and in-liners made from aluminium Barrier Foil materials will be exhibiting at the Emballage, Hall 6, stand K 072.

Now in our 23rd year of successful business, we shall be exhibiting barrier foil packaging solutions, showing our ability to provide total climatic protection for any product which may deteriorate due to moisture, oxygen and other gas ingress, odour transfer, U.V. light and temperature extremes. Exhibits will range from export packing solutions for the prevention of corrosion of metallic goods, and a wide range of liners for the protection of powders, flakes and granules in the form of round-bottom drum liners, octabin liners, F.I.B.C liners and corrugated and timber box liners through to ISO Container liners showing the bulkhead, filling and discharge design options. All bags and liners are tailor-made to suit the dimensions and style of the outer packaging with no minimum order quantities. Barrier foil valve sacks, 25kilo sacks with de-gassing feature and re-closable pouches will also be displayed.
Barrier Foil packaging provides total protection for any products which are sensitive to moisture, oxygen and other climatic and biological volatiles, and will also prevent odour transfer either in to or out of the product.
Barrier Foils are flexible materials with the lowest known water vapour and oxygen transmission rates of any flexible material. Industrial polyethylene lets water vapour and aggressive gasses seep through allowing deterioration of product to occur, but this can be eliminated by the use of Barrier Foil with or without desiccant and our website shows how this is achieved. Packaging costs are reduced because the amount of desiccant used is reduced dramatically when compared with polyethylene and in some instances there may also be a reduction in shipping costs due to the reduction in overall weight.
