Toppan Offers Eco-Friendly Alternatives at Cartes 2009

Friday 05. November 2010 - For the fourth year running, Toppan will exhibit at Cartes; the world's largest event dedicated to digital security, smart cards and identification, taking place in Paris from 17th to 19thNovember. This year Toppan is meeting both the needs of our customers and the needs of the planet by focusing on eco-friendly alternatives to card materials and printers. Around 20,000 visitors are expected at both Cartes and IDentification, the biometrics and document authentication exhibition running along side it.

The phenomenal interest shown last year in the eco-friendly Kamicard has prompted us to put more of a focus on this product this year, but we will have 3 sections in total;

Kamicard

Toppan’s Kamicard is made entirely from paper and therefore is biodegradable, does not come from a finite resource, does not give off dioxins when incinerated and can be recycled into fuel. We will be exhibiting our range of Kamicard products from SIMs to loyalty cards.
ID and Personalisation
An eco-friendly card deserves and eco-friendly personalisation printer – we’ll introduce our solution to visitors. We’ll also show real samples produced by our renowned passport and ID personalisation systems in collaboration with our partners GET Group (please also visit their booth which located very close to ours, Hall 3, ET4).
Future Technologies
Toppan is constantly developing new technologies, and Cartes gives us the ideal opportunity to showcase these and get feedback from our customers before fine tuning them. In our Future Technologies section we will be displaying a variation of the Kamicard which is still under development as well as Toppan’s new Display Card.
Staff from Toppan Japan and Toppan in Europe will be on hand throughout the show to answer your questions and guide you through our range of products.

Cartes 2009 is running from 17th to 19th November at the Paris Villepinte Exhibition Centre and Toppan’s booth can be found in hall 3, aisle G and is number 106.
