Metallurgy can be adapted to a range of applications including Fine Art, Photography, Signage, Advertising and POS, even Business cards, the possibilities extend as far as your imagination.
The process uses a combination of cutting edge technology and innovative coating techniques, with the metallurgy on a roll , you can print directly onto mirror metal using a standard pigmented ink-jet machine, holding Giclee quality at 2880dpi.
Andrew Ainge the founder and developer of Metallurgy4.com has been experimenting with Metallurgy since (2008). He says Metallurgy is unlike any conventional media. Each metal roll requires careful handling prior to printing due to the mirror metal finish. We use white cotton gloves at all times during the print process to avoid marking the metal, but other than that, its just like printing any standard media but the results are stunning, full colour results offer exciting new opportunities for signage and fine art reproduction.
Metallurgy on a roll is available in 12″, 24″, 36″ and 50″ formats with a standard 30m length. The product comes with a high contact adhesive backing so it can be easily mounted post printing.
